Vantage Pro2™ Wireless Plus
with 24-Hr Fan Aspirated Radiation Shield by Davis Instruments

The latest in weather technology! The Vantage Pro2 Plus weather stations offer everything found on the Vantage Pro2 weather stations, plus solar radiation and UV sensors.

First and only weather station in its class to use frequency hopping spread spectrum radio technology to transmit weather data wirelessly up to 1000' (300m). Wireless range is up to 1000' (300m) outdoors, line of sight. Typical range through walls under most conditions is 200' to 400' (60 to 120m). Add wireless repeaters for distances up to 1.7 miles (2.7 km).

Vantage Pro2 weather stations measure barometric pressure, temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed, forecasting, on-screen graphing, and much more. Quick view icons show the forecast at a glance—sunny, partly sunny, cloudy, rain or snow—while a moving ticker-tape display gives more details. You'll get highs and lows (and/or totals and averages) for virtually all weather variables for the past 24 days, months, or years, and your own local forecast—all without a PC.

The integrated sensor suite combines all the outdoor sensors into one package—making setup easier than ever and improving performance and reliability. Rain collector, anemometer, and temperature/humidity sensors are all included. Temperature and humidity sensors are enclosed in a patented, solar-powered, 24-hour fan-aspirated radiation shield. Shield combines active and passive aspiration to minimize the effects of radiation.

A 24-hour fan-aspirated radiation shield is necessary for maximum accuracy of temperature and humidity readings. A motor-driven fan draws air through the sensor chamber, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Airflow across the sensors is 500 feet per minute. At night, when the effects of radiation are less, the solar-powered model runs on battery power and the air flow is 280 feet per minute. In far northern or southern latitudes, or in areas with extended periods of heavy cloud cover, there may not be enough sunshine to power the fan or recharge the batteries during the winter. However, as the level of sunlight goes down, the need for fan aspiration also diminishes. The fan will start running and the battery will recharge as soon as sufficient sunlight returns.

All Davis Instruments products carry a one-year warranty.
