Leadwire 16' by Isspro
A leadwire is a high temperature extension-type cable used to join the thermocouple to the pyrometer. Made of aircraft quality Kapton leads encased with a flexible wire braid to protect them from heat and abrasion. When heat is applied to the junction, a tiny voltage is produced and travels up the leadwire to the gauge. It is important never to solder the leadwire, as each solder joint will act as an additional junction generating voltage.
