A permanent magnet built into the sensor provides a magnetic field at the base of the sensor. As each tooth of a signal gear or a slot in a rotating sensor disc passes through the magnetic field, a signal (voltage pulse) is generated. Dimensions: Magnetic Sensor 3/4" - 16 thread, 2.66" long.
